So, this weekend was equal parts awesome and shit-tastic.

Shit-tastic things:

- I had a Diverticulitis flare up and it made me spend some time at the doctor’s office that could have been spent better elsewhere. This put me out for the rest of the day, and I felt like crap to the point I couldn’t sleep or do anything fun. Yuck.

I don’t know what spawned this, but I know it was in no way comfortable or due to anything I did directly.

- This also means I have to eat what is called a “bland diet.” It’s exactly what it sounds like. No food with anything complex in there. Basically bread, broth, bananas and applesauce. I’m like a senior citizen without the wisdom.

Awesome things:

- I am seeing someone now. She is an amazing person and I love spending time with her. She really digs me, too, which makes it even better. I haven’t felt this way about someone in a really long time.

- We ate dinner at Watt’s Grocery on Friday, and dagnabbit, it was so fantastic I can’t say enough good things. Great food, huge portions, and the best banana pudding I have ever had. (Sorry, mom…)

- I saw Avatar in 3-D. We sat in the 2nd row, which caused some motion nausea. The rest of the film was entertaining and yet all too familiar. I liked the movie for the most part, except for the explicit use of the Papyrus font. (Yes, it was just “Papyrus”. And with all the money they spent on this film on every other aspect, this made it feel completely cheapened. Boo, JC, boooooooo! Also, “unobtainium”? REALLY?) The rest of the effects were great, though.
