POLICA - Lay Your Cards Out

I rarely get excited about bands anymore. There are a few new(ish) songs I really enjoy, but I often find myself relying on the tried and true. Sirius Radio has helped me find a few good ones, but lately I’ve been encapsulated by POLICA (not sure if it is po-lee-sha or pawl-eh-cah or ???) but man, I love this sound. It’s a sort of Portishead meets Battles thing happening, and it couldn’t be awesomer. And if it’s good enough for JAY-Z, it’s good enough for me.

Yes, this is Red (Swedish) Fish vodka. It’s like my Reese’s cups, you guys. My honey and mustard, my American cheese and apple pie, my bacon and anything. Guess now is as good a time as ever to mention that I am coming out of improv retirement, because I need it more than it needs me. I’m lucky to have Go Comedy! right around the block from my house, but I’m even more lucky to find a group of folks who are as accepting and kind and hilarious and professional as they come. And I’m not just saying that because I was recently cast, but because I genuinely think what these guys are doing is legit and wonderful. Looking forward to the fun and hi-jinx inevitably right around the figurative (and literal!) corner.
